'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first major achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would seriously consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
